Miriam's is a fantastic little cottage within walking distance of Tanunda's shops. The restaurant, 1918 Bistro (5 mins walk away) was friendly, cosy and had great food. I loved the food that was left for us in the cottage, we had big beautiful breakfast's every morning ready for a glorious day wine tasting. Wandering through the garden at Miriam's was a delight lots of herbs and ferns to discover. We only stayed for 3 nights but managed to visit numerous wineries, see wonderful countryside and meet some great locals. Well worth another visit in the future.

After two nights camping on Kangaroo Island, Miriam's Cottage was just what we needed! Lovely quiet, tree-lined street. Easy 5-10 minute walk to Tanunda shops, pubs etc. Very well appointed, even had shoe polish should the need arise. Nice area out the back for drinks and brekkie, listening to the birds. All in all, highly recommended. We wished we could have stayed more than two nights.

I had a very comfortable couple of nights at Miriams Cottage - once I'd managed to get the air conditioning balanced. The cottage was well equipped. Only critism was that I was not advised in advance of the code to get the key as such had to ring the owners for details

Management Response

Thanks for your feedback. Miriam's is indeed a lovely cottage. We never give codes or key locations out in advance in case the information falls into the wrong hands. Calling the owner gives you a chance to make a personal contact with the person who has crafted your accommodation, lets you ask any questions and lets them advise on any local events or must see must do things going on during your stay.

This is a lovely cottage with a lovely garden out the back. Big enough for two couples and within walking distance of restaurants which was very handy.
