Elsie's cottage is a cottage near the centre of Tanunda, a fantasic location. it is quiet & comfortable. It is not in the first flush of youth meaning although old the decor is somewhat tired, having said that, we like that, as too pristine a place we cannot relax.Everything we needed was there including orange & lemon trees in the garden. I would certainly recommend it & would happily stay there again. plenty of food is provided, the only improvement would be Apex bakery bread instead of boring packet sliced! Apex bread is marvellous & we brought some home with us.

Our stay at Elsie's cottage could not be faulted in any way. Another couple stayed at the cottage with us for 2 nights and there was ample room for the four of us, with two lovely double bedrooms. The bathroom was huge with a very large spa bath which we took advantage of. The kitchen was stocked with ample provisions for breakfast as well as extra treats and being very spacious. The lounge and dining area were also really comfy and roomy. The weather was really cold and wet while we were in the Barossa so we were happy to come back early to the cottage and have a spa bath and a relaxing evening together. I can highly recommend this accommodation.

We had a wonderful time, however when travelling to areas such as the Barossa we expect people to provide us with local produce, for example we felt the port and breakfast provisions should reflect the area and that they should be sourced locally. I feel that making the extra effort would impact on many customers.

What a great little hideaway! Lashings of breakfast food and close to the best Pizza shop who also did takeaway dessert!Lots of room! A special place! Very convenient! Thanks James! The only thing we needed was more wood as the temperature plummeted during our stay.

We thought the cottage was great, well equipped, location was superb, beautiful setting and lovely and quiet. We would have loved some coffee for the bodum, and a few more choices of spreads for toast. We decided to go out for breakfast one day because of this. We would definitely return and would recommend Elsie's to our friends.

For provisions it would be good to have some fruit and cheese for breakfast in addition to the bacon, tomato, eggs milk bread and orange juice. There were a dozen eggs included for 2 people which appeared to be a bit excessive. Also there were some basic cooking utensils missing(for example no tongs only a spatula) The cottage was tidy and in close proximity to the main street which was a key requirement for us.
