We enjoyed the cottages we stayed at for the all too short 2 nights we had in the Barossa Valley. The cottages were close to many wineries in Barossa. Mark and Sue left us be to enjoy our vacation. We appreciated the wi-fi to contact our family while we were visiting.

This was a wonderful place to stay. We have been to the Barossa several times but stayed at Blickinstal for the first time this time. The breakfasts were amazing and Sue was the perfect hostetss - always there if you needed her but never intruding. The room was cosy and very quiet as there is no through traffic. The views were superb and it was a short drive to all shops and good restaurants. All in all it was a perfect place to stay!

We couldn't fault this lovely B&B lodge which fully lived up to former clients' reviews. A perfect spot overlooking Barossa vineyards, a lovely spacious and beautifully furnished studio apartment, and a friendly and very helpful host in Sue. Port and chocolates in the room and great Aussie breakfasts added to our enjoyment. We recommend Birkenstall with no hesitation. For excellent dinners in Tanumba try the 1918 Grill and Ferment Asia - not cheap but really excellent food and service.

We loved the Blickinstal Valley Retreat. The service was excellent and the location, breathtaking! It was just a short taxi ride into the main street of Tanunda, so even though it wasn't within walking distance, it wasn't a problem getting there and back of an evening. Breakfast and afternoon tea was delicious - home cooked with friendly service from Sue. We will definitely be back.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Blickinstall. Such a lovely mountainous location in the quieter locale of Bethany and very close to Rockford's delicious wines! Wonderful rooms, lovely hospitality from Sue and her crew as well as delightful food. We would recommend this place to anyone! One of the best B and B's we've stayed in Australia wide.

The studio room in which we stayed was faultless, the view through the beautiful gardens and across the vineyards was stunning and Sue, the host, was delightful and an excellent cook. Besides a great cooked breakfast she also provided afternoon tea at no extra cost. This consisted of her just-out-of-the-oven warm scones with her homemade strawberry jam and cream!

I was on business and didn't have enough time to relax in the lovely setting. Next time I am over I will definitely stay again and plan to spend every minute away from work sitting on the porch, enjoying the lovely views, listening to the birds and just relaxing.

We had a great weekend, the accommodation was perfect and very centrally located to tour all the surrounding wineries. The service and friendliness was excellent, the breakfast and afternoon tea are the best. The best B&B we stayed in during our four weeks in Australia. Not only was the service fantastic, the structure of the B&B ensured excellent privacy. Also, the cleanliness were exceptional. Breakfast was superb, and the views over the valley and the proximity to some incredible wineries made the location very good. Thank you so much for your hospitality and your recommendation for the visit to Rusden. Their wines are excellent and they really treated us well. A truly memorable experience.

A wonderful place to spend some time. Afternoon Tea was amazing, as was breakfast. No need for lunch!! Bed was excellent, as were pillows and the extras - chocolates, port, coffee and real milk - was wonderful. The hosts were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful,quiet location. LOvely views across vineyards from the dining room, where we really appreciated the tasty scones for afternoon tea. If there was a quick solution for millipedes, it would have been 5 stars all round. Great breakfast, breath taking view, relaxing spa and the farm animals were a great touch. Well kept suites and the owners were very spontaneous.
