Description:

Tranquility Retreat was built to be a destination itself. The two storey house is fully equipped so you need not leave the property at all if you wish. There are comfortable lounge areas upstairs and down both with modern flat screen TVs and DVDs. The upstairs deck takes in wonderful views across rolling farmland to the Barossa Ranges while the back verandah and patio has BBQ facilities and more sweeping views. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, laundry, formal dining, full kitchen facilities - everything you could think of for a perfect weekend away.

Location:

Close to everything and nothing. Set on a secluded rural property but only 5 minutes to Freeling, 10 minutes from Gawler and 10 minutes to Greenock, 15 minutes to Kapunda, 20 minutes to Tanunda or 30 minutes to Mallala Motor Sport Park, 45 minutes to Auburn in the Clare Valley and just over an hour to the centre of Adelaide. You choose.

Room Information:

All three bedrooms have King beds, one of which can be split. Please indicate the number of guests and sleeping configuration at the appropriate places on the booking form. The required number of bedrooms will be unlocked based on the information provided on the booking request. Sorry, not suitable for children. Please note a minimum booking of 4 persons for 2 nights is required on all long weekends and Barossa and Clare Valley events.

Other Charges and Fees (Payable locally):

Please note that Tranquility is a No Smoking indoors property. If there is evidence of smoking indoors an additional $200 cleaning fee will be charged. If you book for 2 adults it is assumed that you are a couple sharing a bed. If this is not the case, please indicate at the time of booking. When 2 people use separate beds an additional charge of $50 is payable on arrival.

Included in the published rate is 2 adults. (Maximum occupancy - 6 guests). Of the extra guests 4 may be an adult.

Cancellations:

Strict cancellation policies apply. Any cancellation will incur a $30 (incl GST) cancellation fee. Cancellations notified less than 28 days and more than 14 days prior to the booking may receive a refund once a replacement booking of equal or greater value is secured. Cancellation 14 days or less prior to the arrival date will forfeit the full payment. Any other changes to booking dates will incur a $30 amendment fee. No changes may be made less than 14 days prior to the arrival date.

The administration fee on refunds is AU$30.00

Children & Extra Guest Policy:

Up to 6 guests in one group can stay. There are 3 King beds, one which can be split into two singles on prior request. Sorry not suitable for children or pets. Extra guests are charged at $75 per person per night. A minimum booking of 4 persons for 2 nights is reuired on all long weekends and Barossa or Clare Valley events such as Gourmet and Vintage Festivals.

Reception Information:

There is no reception on the property. Please call ahead to arrange key collection. At least an hour's notice will ensure everything is ready and some-one can be present to meet you. The contact number is provided in the "Confirmation" email you receive once a booking request has been accepted.

Car Parking:

There is a carport for one vehicle and plenty of parking for extra vehicles.

Things to do:

Tranquility Retreat is all about rest and relaxation. Escape from the world and sit on the deck and take in the views, the wildlife. the tranquility. A pair of binoculars are provided for bird watching or wildlife spotting.

Local Attractions:

Tranquility Retreat is in classic McLeod's Daughters country. It is only a few minutes drive to the Gungellan pub in Freeling. It is also about 10 minutes drive from the Western area of the Barossa. Greenock has it's own micro brewery, a cellar door where lunch is availalble and of course the country pub. A slightly longer drive of about 45 minutes will take you to the Southern end of the Clare Valley wine district at Auburn.

Getting There:

Coming from Adelaide stay on the Sturt Highway (20), go past Shea Oak Log and at Daveyston, turn off to the left (towards Freeling). Coming from the Barossa turn right off the Sturt Highway at Daveyston (towards Freeling) After 2.4 kilometres you come to a slight bend and a small bridge. Turn left into Kuhlmann Road. It is an unsealed road. Drive with care in wet weather. After 1.2 kilometres turn right into Gramp Road. After 0.5 km turn left into the driveway.
