Stroll along the Heritage walk through Angaston, or Visit ‘Angas Park’; for premium dried fruits, nuts, and chocolate. On Saturday mornings (7 a.m. – 12 midday) the Barossa Farmers Market is not to be missed for all the local produce the Barossa is so famous for.

Maggie Beer’s ‘Farm Shop’, with its stunning produce, picnic hampers, and cooking demonstrations is within easy driving distance. Take time to sit beside the lake and sample Maggie’s delicious ice-cream.

How about something to eat? Angaston has much to offer with an excellent array of restaurants and eateries to suit all budgets. ‘Vintners Bar & Grill’, ‘Salters’, ‘The SA Company Kitchen’ and ‘Wanera’ are all a short distance from your cottage, as is the much awarded ‘Roaring 40s’ award winning pizzeria, and delightful cafes. Lovely cottage with good amenities. Beautiful fresh produce breakfast provisions. We were disappointed the owner felt it appropriate to come to the door during our stay, it made us uncomfortable. I've never had this happen at a bed and breakfast stay before. We also mistaking left a personal item behind and were never contacted about it being returned. We will choose another property on our next visit.

Management Response

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry I made you uncomfortable coming to the door to meet you. It is my practice to meet all my guests and say a quick hello and see if there is anything they need or help them with recommendations to wineries and restaurants. I've always thought that is the reason people choose to stay in BnBs, the personal touch. I am happy to return your personal item if you supply an address. Regards Roxane
