Sage Cottage is a purpose built 2 bedroom cottage. Each bedroom has a queen bed so up to 2 couples can stay in comfort.

Cancellations:

Any cancellation will incur a $30 (incl GST) cancellation fee. Cancellations notified more than 28 days and less then 14 days prior to the booking may receive a refund once a replacement booking of equal or greater value is secured. Cancellation 14 days or less prior to the arrival date will forfeit the full payment. Any other changes to booking dates will incur a $30 amendment fee. No changes may be made less than 14 days prior to the arrival date. The administration fee on refunds is AU$30.00 *Minimum 14 days - We require any cancellation or date change to be made at least 14 days prior to your check in date to avoid forfeiting the full amount of the booking.

Each cottage can sleep up to 4 guests. Please advise total number of guests at time of booking to ensure adequate arrangements are made for your stay.

Feeling in need of some peace and quiet? Country Pleasures, set in a tranquil garden setting, is the perfect place to get away and relax. Enjoy a glass of our complimentary wine in the spa, or settle back with a book from our library in front of the fireplace. Perhaps take time to wander down to Angaston, only five minutes’ walk away, to browse amongst the quaint specialty shops or check out the many restaurants and cafes.

Local Attractions:

Why not indulge in visiting a selection of picturesque wineries, some of which offer lunch-amongst-the-vineyards. Your host would be delighted to recommend an itinerary - with some of their often hidden favourites. Our complimentary wines come from Yalumba, Willows Vineyard and Torbreck Wines. Stroll along the Heritage walk through Angaston, or Visit ‘Angas Park’; for premium dried fruits, nuts, and chocolate. On Saturday mornings (7 a.m. – 12 midday) the Barossa Farmers Market is not to be missed for all the local produce the Barossa is so famous for. Maggie Beer’s ‘Farm Shop’, with its stunning produce, picnic hampers, and cooking demonstrations is within easy driving distance. Take time to sit beside the lake and sample Maggie’s delicious ice-cream. How about something to eat? Angaston has much to offer with an excellent array of restaurants and eateries to suit all budgets. ‘Vintners Bar & Grill’, ‘Salters’, ‘The SA Company Kitchen’ and ‘Wanera’ are all a short distance from your cottage, as is the much awarded ‘Roaring 40s’ award winning pizzeria, and delightful cafes. Alternatively, why not stay in and cook to really enjoy that special ambiance of your cottage retreat? Don’t want to drive? Why not be chauffeur driven by a knowledgeable and friendly guide with a vast knowledge of the Barossa and its history and who will design a tour to suit you.

Country Pleasures Cottages are located on Penrice Road near Angaston. Coming into Angaston Main Street from Nuriootpa, turn left at the Park into Penrice Road. Country Pleasures Cottages are 300 metres up the road on your right. Directions for travelling by car from Adelaide are below: 1. Head west on Victoria Square 63m 2. Take the 1st right to stay on Victoria Square 180m 3. Continue onto King William St 2.1km 4. Continue onto O'Connell St 850m 5. Continue onto Prospect Rd 300m 6. Keep right at the fork 51m 7. Turn right onto Fitzroy Tce 180m 8. Turn left onto A1/Main North Rd (signs for National Highway A1/Gepps Cross) 800m 9. Keep left at the fork. Continue to follow A1 8.9km 10. Slight left onto A1/Port Wakefield Rd 12.4km 11. Slight left to merge onto Northern Expressway 21.1km 12. Continue onto Gawler Bypass Rd/National Highway A20/Sturt Hwy 29.7km 13.
